Speech Act

This article talks about Speech Act, which may be performed by a speaker in making an utterance, as stating, asking, requesting, advising, warning, or persuading, considered in terms of the content of the message, the intention of the speaker, and the effect on the listener. It is really the performance of several acts at once, distinguished by different aspects of the speaker’s intention: there is the act of saying something, what one does in saying it, such as requesting or promising, and how one is trying to affect one’s audience.”  Speech acts have an effect on the feelings, thoughts or actions of either the speaker or the listener.

Organic Architecture

Organic Architecture is a term, which used by Frank Lloyd Wright. It describe environmentally integrated approach to architectural design. It was strives to unify space, to blend interiors and exteriors, and create a built environment not separate or dominant from nature but as a unified whole. It is achieved through design approaches so sympathetic and well integrated with a site that buildings, furnishings, and surroundings become part of a unified, interrelated composition. “Organic Architecture” is also known as “Bionic Architecture”.

Architectural Theory

Architectural Theory aims to act of thinking, discussing, support the individual development of an approach to design by learning from history and others. It was originally simply the accepted translation of the Latin term ratiocinatio as used by Vitruvius, a Roman architect-engineer of the 1st century ad, to differentiate intellectual from practical knowledge in architectural education. Architectural Theory is a framework that studies architectural phenomena using scientific logic and methods of experimentation.

Architectural Style

Architectural Style is a manner of expression. It is the vocabulary use when it classify buildings according to their appearance, structure, materials, and historic period. It may include such elements as form, method of construction, building materials, and regional character. Architectural Style is sometimes only a rebellion against an existing style, such as post-modernism, which has in recent years found its own language and split into a number of styles which have acquired other names. It explore harmonious ideals, Mannerism wants to take style a step further and explores the aesthetics of hyperbole and exaggeration.

John Locke: Philosopher

John Locke, Philosopher was born on 29 August 1632 in Wrington, Somerset, England. He was also an english physician.  He was introduced to medicine and the experimental philosophy being pursued at other universities and in the Royal Society. Locke was awarded a bachelor’s degree in February 1656 and a master’s degree in June 1658. In 1668 He was elected a fellow of the Royal Society. Locke graduated with a bachelor’s of medicine in 1674. His  theory of mind is often cited as the origin of modern conceptions of identity and the self, figuring prominently in the work of later philosophers such as Hume, Rousseau, and Kant.
