Seismic analysis is often a subset of structural analysis and is also the calculation in the response of some sort of building (or nonbuilding) framework to earthquakes. It is area of the process of structural pattern, earthquake engineering as well as structural assessment as well as retrofit in regions where earthquakes tend to be prevalent. The University of California, Berkeley was an early base for computer-based seismic analysis of structures, led by Professor Ray Clough.
